Ringlink Scotland - About Us

Ringlink (Scotland) Ltd was founded in 1988 as Mearns and Angus Machinery Ring under the chairmanship of the late Douglas Cargill.

Based around business models already working on the continent the idea of a machinery ring in the North East of Scotland gained favour and began its steady growth evolving in 1998 into Ringlink Scotland Ltd which today serves a membership of over 2800 businesses.

The initial concept of sharing labour and machinery has been very much eclipsed by an increasingly diverse range of services; the demand for commodities including Fuel, Straw, Animal Feeds, Silage Wrap, Twine and Net has seen dramatic growth over the years.

More recently other benefits to members have included the retrospective rebate scheme from CaseIH and the availability of discounted electricity supplies.

Operating out of four regional offices: Laurencekirk, Elgin, Oldmeldrum and Coupar Angus, Ringlink provides its full range of services not only within the local area but across the entire country.

Ringlink (Scotland) Ltd has ultimately evolved as a rural business cooperative, owned by its members and managed on behalf of its members to provide a cost effective platform for efficient member to member trading.
